Health properties
Dr Pirjo Pärnänen (Associate Professor in Oral Microbiology, DMD, PhD) has been researching fermented lingonberry juice for over 15 years, and has conducted a number of clinical studies with impressive outcomes:

Using a patented method, the natural occurring sugar-content of the lingonberry juice has been reduced by fermentation to a safe level for oral use.
Nutritional value
The lingonberry has almost no calories, is virtually fat-free and does not contain any saturated fat. Lingonberries are rich in vitamin E and are a source of dietary fibre.
Lingonberries contain many minerals (e.g. potassium, magnesium and manganese) and micronutrients (e.g. zinc and iron).
Arctic lingonberries are rich in polyphenols, such as, lignans, resveratrol, quercetin and proanthocyanidins. Lingonberries contain more lignans than any other berry species.
